The Cremation Of Malayalam’s Beloved Actor Mamukoya Will Be Held Today

The grave will be buried at 10 am at the Kannamparamba cemetery in Kozhikode. The funeral will be held with full official honors. There will be a public visit at the house till nine o’clock. Then, after offering prayers at Arakinar Mujahid Mosque, the body will be taken to Kannamparam. Even late at night, many people came to the house to pay their last respects.

Mamukoya’s beloved Kozhikode locals flocked to the town hall to pay their last respects along with those from the fields of cinema, theatre, culture, and politics. Mamukoya passed away at 1.05 pm on Wednesday at a private hospital in Kozhikode. He was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack during a public event in Vandoor.

Mamukoya was an actor who started acting in theater and came to the cinema. The actor, who burst into laughter with his humorous use of the Kozhikode dialect, became Malayalee’s favorite comedian in a short span of time. Mamukoya was active in theater activities while still a student. He made his debut in cinema with the film ‘Anyar Bhoomi’. He was first noticed for his role as Munshi in the movie ‘Dure Doore Oru Koodu Kootam’. Later, he became a regular presence in the films of Sathyan Anthikad. His performance in the films Perumazhakalam (2004) and Vaise Chintavishayam (2008) won him the state award. Mamukoya’s notable films were Ramjirao Speaking, Thalayana Mantram, Subhayatra, Natotikat, His Highness Abdullah, Varavelp and Perumazakalam.
