Telugu Movie Has Once Again Taken Bollywood By Storm ‘Dasara’ waves At The Box Office

Bollywood has long been the most commercially valuable film industry in Indian cinema. Hindi films have been huge box office successes with the Hindi-speaking majority and through them diaspora around the world. But Telugu cinema is ahead of Bollywood in terms of financial success. After the covid-era collapse, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathan is the only Bollywood hit, while a string of Telugu films has become hugely successful. RRR and Pushpa are some of them. Now there are two films in theaters that are forcing trade analysts to compare the current state of both film industries.

These films are the Bollywood action thriller Bhola starring Ajay Devgn and the Telugu period action drama Dasara directed by Srikanth Odela starring Nani. Both these films hit the theaters on the same day. On March 30. Now the collections of the first three days of both films are out. There is a big difference between those numbers. According to leading trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Bhola has collected 30.70 crores in India in the first three days. As for Dussehra, it is reported that the film has collected 45.50 crores in the first three days from Telugu states alone. This is according to the box office tracker Let’s Cinema. The film’s gross so far in America, one of the most important overseas markets for Telugu cinema, is over $1.45 million. That is 12 crore rupees. This is the highest collection for a Nanny film in the US. The producer SLV Cinemas has informed that the global gross of the film in the first three days is Rs 71 crore.
