Rajinikanth’s 170th film, which the South Indian film world has been eagerly waiting for, has been named. The name of the film is Vettaiyan. The makers have also released the title teaser. The title has been announced on the occasion of Rajinikanth’s birthday. The movie is directed by TJ Gnanavel.
It is reported that Rajinikanth will play the role of a policeman in the film which will be released next year. Gun and Lathi can be seen in the teaser. After the blockbuster film Jailer, Vettaiyan is also Rajinikanth’s lead film. Amitabh Bachchan is also playing an important role in the film. Two of them are acting together after thirty-three years.
Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, the film also stars Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and others. This is also the first film where Manju and Fahadh are acting with Superstar. This is also Manjuwariyar’s fourth Tamil film. The shooting of Vettaiyan started in Thiruvananthapuram. Vettaiyyan was also shot in Kerala. The shoot was at Vellayani and Shankhumugham. TJ Gnanavel is also the scriptwriter of Vettaiyan. Anirudh is the music director. Anpariv Masters also works as the stunt master.
Whereas, Rajinikanth’s daughter and director Aishwarya Rajinikanth has released a glimpse video of the movie ‘Lal Salaam’. Rajinikanth is appearing in a cameo role in the teaser which was released on the occasion of Rajini’s birthday with mass scenes. Rajinikanth is playing the role of ‘Moideen Bhai’ in this film, which stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant. Rajinikanth will appear in a guest role.
The film features Rajinikanth in a look and feel that the audience has never seen before, with music composed by AR Rahman. The story and dialogues are by Vishnu Rangaswamy. The theme of the film is cricket. Apart from that, ‘Lal Salaam’ is a movie that talks about some other topics. Subhaskaran is producing the film under the banner of Lyca Productions.
The film will hit theaters on Pongal in 2024 in five languages - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. The Tamil Nadu distribution rights of the film are owned by Red Giant Studios. Other actors include Senthil, Jeeva, Thambi Ramaiah, Anantika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, and Thankadurai. Aishwarya Rajinikanth is returning to the directorial field after eight years, Her earlier films are ‘3’, and ‘Y Raja Y’ and also a documentary ‘Cinema Veeran’. ‘Lal Salaam’ is the upcoming movie.
