In the month of November 2021, actor Suriya-starrer ‘Jai Bhim‘ directed by TJ Gnanavel had officially entered the Golden Globes 2022 as a nomination under the category of ‘Best Non-English Language Film’. The film is about a pregnant spouse who seeks help from an advocate Chandry after her husband goes missing in Police custody. The movie after its release faced many controversies as the movie portrays caste basis preference and treatment by the police.
Jai Bhim featuring Suriya, Lijomol Jose, and Manikandan debuted straightforwardly on a famous OTT stage on November 2, 2021. Lijomol Jose plays the female lead with Manikandan, Rajisha Vijayan, Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, and others in supporting roles. After the film’s release, the film arrived in different dialects. Jai Bhim is a true story based on a true incident in 1993, which involves a case fought by Justice K. Chandru, who brought equity to indigenous tribes in Tamilnadu through his constant efforts.
