Sources aware of everything state that veteran performer Suresh Gopi and child Gokul Suresh will share screen space in a film. While the child would be viewed as the fundamental lead in Lelam 2, the dad will play a character artiste. Suresh Gopi’s role in it has been uncovered to be Anakkattil ‘Chackochi’ Jacob Stephen. By chance, it is a similar character he had tried in Lelam back in 1997.

The film is being directed by Nithin Renji Panicker and has been written by Renji Panicker. Lelam 2 is the sequel to Suresh Gopi’s hit family drama Lelam directed by Joshiy. Besides, Suresh Gopi and Gokul Suresh, the film also stars the late actor MG Soman, Siddique, N F Varghese, Nandini, Maniyanpilla Raju, Vijayakumar, Spadikam George, and Kaviyoor Renuka in supporting roles. Reports are that Lelam 2 will be about the enmity between two liquor business groups, the Aanakkattil family and Kadayadi family.
