SN Swamy the writer of CBI film says, it was all Mammootty’s idea

It’s been more than thirty years since the notable CBI film series and the splendid brains of Sethurama Iyer CBI have made a unique spot in the hearts of the Malayali crowd. Presently, after an effective 4-section run, the series is preparing its fifth portion which is named ‘CBI 5: The Brain’. In a meeting with SN Swamy by a web-based media station, the writer opened up by saying that the ‘CBI’ film series was the vision of the incredible actor Mammootty.

During the meeting, SN Swamy said it was just a typical analytical police story when he pitched the story first to Mammootty. The actor recommended that he can attempt a somewhat unique way to deal with this typical police story as it was the rush hour of the release of Mammootty’s action thriller ‘Aavanazhi’ which was a police story too.

Mammootty set forward an idea to convey a similar storyline by the incorporation of a CBI character. Also during that time, people were not much aware of CBI and their working procedures in solving crimes, and the writer SN Swamy felt Mammootty’s idea to be something more refreshing than usual police investigation thrillers.

SN Swamy further said, ” So to be completely forthright, the CBI film (‘Oru CBI Diary Kurippu’) was really Mammootty’s vision. The single-film idea has now formed into a few successful parts and all in view of Mammootty’s idea.”
Then again, the fifth portion of the CBI series has set the assumption bar high for the crowd with its most recent updates declared by the producers. The reports propose that Mammootty’s CBI 5: The Brain will be released in the long stretch of April.
