Screenwriter SN Swamy is about to make his directorial debut. SN Swamy entered the directorial field at the age of 72. Reports are coming out that Swamy’s first film will not be a thriller, having given Malayalam some of the best thriller films of all time.
Young actor Dhyan Sreenivasan has got the chance to play the hero in SN Swamy’s film. The Pooja of the movie will be held in Kochi on Vishu day. The film is also written by Swamy. Swamy’s response is that since the location is busy in Tamil villages like Tiruchentirur, all the information about the film can be told in detail at the launch ceremony. SN Swamy’s son Sivaram is the co-director of the film.
The yet-to-be-titled film is being produced by P Rajendra Prasad, president of Ernakulamthappan Temple Welfare Committee. SN Swamy reached Vellira as the screenwriter of the 1980 film ‘Chakkarayumma’. Swamy has written scripts for about fifty films. Colleagues and fans say that SN Swamy may be the first person in the world to direct a film at this age.
