In the Vara Mullapudi-directed film Naa Alludu, Jr. NTR played Karthik, a young man who aspires to prove to an industrialist that he is not above him by wedding Shriya Saran, one of the tycoon’s daughters. The 14 January 2005 release of this action comedy-drama featured Ramya Krishna, Genelia D’Souza, Suman, Rajiv Kanakala, Charan Raj, Brahmanandam, and Ali in supporting parts.

The female lead in Chandru’s upcoming film Kabzaa, which stars Kichcha Sudeep, has been cast as Shriya Saran. In the action drama, she will play Madhumathi, and Kichcha Sudeep will play Bharagava Bakshi.
