The box office disaster Selfie Collection showed a slight improvement last day compared to the first two days, but this does not bring much comfort to the film. On the first Sunday after the release of the film, the makers expected a huge collection. But according to the report of business analysts, the film collected only 3.75 crores. It is reported that shows have been canceled in many places.

With this, the Karan Johar and Prithviraj starrer has collected only around ten crores in three days. At the same time, Selfie got the worst collection for an Akshay Kumar film on a Sunday in the last ten years. Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi (2021) was the last Akshay Kumar film to do well at the box office. Bachchan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Rakshabandhan, and Ram Sethu were all the films that followed. Selfie is believed to be the lowest opening for an Akshay Kumar film since 2009.

At the same time, Akshay Kumar’s response to a question about his films’ continuous flops is gaining the audience’s attention. “This is not the first incident for me. There was a time when I had 16 failures in a row. Another eight films with the lead failed at the box office. But in my opinion, it happens at its own fault. Today’s audience has changed a lot. The stars have to change accordingly. I am trying to change that. That’s all I can do. Don’t blame the audience or anyone else. This is 100 percent my fault”, said Akshay Kumar.
