Samantha will play an antagonist in ‘Thalapathy 67’

With the next movie “Thalapathy 67,” Samantha will reunite with Vijay for the fourth time. According to rumors, Samantha will portray a character in the movie who has a dark side. In the three movies “Kaththi,” “Theri,” and “Mersal,” Samantha was paired with Vijay, and their on-screen chemistry was vital to the success of each movie. With the upcoming film “Thalapathy 67,” which is reportedly directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the stunning actress is reuniting with Vijay. According to recent speculations, Samantha won’t be playing Vijay’s romantic interest in the movie but rather a figure with a dark undertone—apparently a cop.

The movie’s official announcement, which has not yet been made, is anticipated at the end of August. Lokesh Kanagaraj is presently working on the movie’s final script, which is rumored to be a gangster drama. The movie “Thalapathy 67” is expected to start production in October and maybe enter theatres later this year.

The Telugu films “Shaakuntalam” and “Kushi,” the Tamil-Telugu multilingual “Yasodha,” and Samantha are all now in various stages of development. In the interim, on the work front, Samantha has many interesting projects in her kitty. She is presently waiting for the release of her impending mythological film Shaakuntalam, which is in the after-creation stage. Directed by Gunasekhar, the film stars Dev Mohan as the lead actor, and also Allu Arjun’s daughter Arha will enter Tollywood with this film. The South diva will stamp her Bollywood debut with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s film Citadel with Varun Dhawan and the Hollywood film Arrangements of Love with John Philip. Samantha will also make her debut on the famous show Koffee with Karan 7 and has wrapped up the shooting for the episode.
