‘Shaakuntalam,’ Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming film, will be released in theatres soon. The film’s creators have released a new poster as well as the trailer release date. The trailer for the pan-India multilingual film will be released on January 9. Samantha’s film will be released in theatres on February 27, 2023.
‘Shaakuntalam’ is a mythological drama in which Sam plays the titular role. Gunaa Teamworks’ official Twitter account shared a poster of Shaakuntalam, announcing the release of its trailer. ”A whimsical tale of epic love beckons. Based on Kalidasa’s popular play Shakuntala, the film stars Samantha in the titular role of Shakuntala and Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, King of the Puru Dynasty, as well as Mohan Babu, Gautami, Aditi Balan, and Ananya Nagalla in supporting roles. Gunasekhar wrote and directed the film, and the technical team includes Mani Sharma as music director, Sekhar V. Joseph as director of photography, and Prawin Pudi as editor.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who impressed everyone with her performance in ‘Yashoda’, has an interesting slate of projects including ‘Shaakuntalam’ and ‘Kushi’ with Vijay Deverakonda, besides ‘Citadel’.
Samantha surprised the internet when she finally showed up in Mumbai on Friday. Samantha has been battling the autoimmune disease for several months. While she has been away from the cameras, she has been keeping herself busy with post-production work on her projects, the most recent of which is Shaakuntalam.
Although Samantha has yet to reveal the reason for her Mumbai visit, fans speculate that it is related to Citadel India.
