One of the major hits of 2022 is Kantara, a blockbuster movie from Rishab Shetty. Due to a plagiarism claim made by the Kerala-based band Thaikkudam Bridge about the well-known song Varaha Roopam, the movie was in court up until last week. The Varaha Roopam song in the movie was previously banned, however, lately, the Kozhikode District Court dismissed the appeal and lifted the prohibition. The actor and director have now responded to the significant success and win.

Rishab Shetty, the actor, and director of Kantara responded to the big win of Varaha Roopam in court. He took to Twitter and thanked fans as he wrote, “We have won the Varaharoopam case with the blessings of the Gods and the love of the people. We are going to change the song on the OTT platform very soon considering people’s request.”

Due to the plagiarism issue, the Varaha Roopam song from the OTT version of Unversed was changed to the new version. The original version will, however, return to the screen now that the Kantara team has won the case. While there are several reasons why the movie has become well-known, Varaha Roopam is the one that audiences have been most moved by.

The Kerala Court imposed an order prohibiting the performers from performing the song “Varaha Roopam” after being served with a lawsuit for copying by the well-known Malayalam band Thaikkudam Bridge. Additionally, none of the big streaming services will play the music. The Kantara movie was accused of plagiarism on October 25 by Thaikudam Bridge, a well-known Keralan rock band. The music group claimed that their song Navarasam was plagiarised in the movie Varaha Roopam.

Kantara is a story that takes place in a fictional forest named Kantara where certain traditions lead to a battle between man and nature. It also has Kishore, Sapthami Gowda, and Achyuth Kumar in important roles. In addition to directing the movie, Rishab Shetty also had double roles.
