Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s RRR is made for the big-screen or OTT?

With no big films hitting screens notwithstanding weeks after venues returning of the second pandemic of Covid, there were tales that SS Rajamouli’s RRR will play safe and release the movie on OTT.

Despite the makers clarifying numerous times that the film is made for the big screens, rumors kept doing rounds about the same. The studio that gained the North-Indian dramatic privileges of the Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, and Olivia Morris starrer put out a statement busting rumors.

The maker’s statement says, “We would like to clarify that ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, ‘RRR’ & ‘Attack’ will release in Cinemas. There have been several rumors doing rounds about these films releasing on OTT platforms before cinemas which are untrue. These magnum opus films are made for the big screen experience and would be releasing in theatres. Dr. Jayanthilal Gada, Chairman & MD, Pen Studios. (sic)”

Advanced and satellite privileges of the film have effectively been sold, as affirmed by the movie producers. An OTT stage will stream the film in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada renditions while one more stage has assumed control over the rights for Hindi, English, Portuguese, Korean, Turkish, and Spanish forms of the film. The satellite rights have likewise been offered to one station for Hindi and one more for Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

RRR will likewise star Alison Doody, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and others in key jobs with music by MM Keeravani. The film is scheduled for discharge on October 13 and the producers are yet to affirm the date.
