As per reports, R Madhavan was in a fix after he was offered a job in My Name is Khan and 3 Idiots also. The job of Zakir Khan, which was played by Jimmy Shergill, was at first proposed to Madhavan. However, the Rehnna Hai Terre Dil main actor was stuck preparing for his job of Farhan Qureshi for 3 Idiots. As dates for both the movies were conflicting, the entertainer needed to relinquish the job of Zakir Khan in My Name is Khan. After that, the same character was offered to Jimmy Shergill. And you know the rest.
In the interim, R Madhavan was most recently seen in the Netflix series Decoupled close by Surveen Chawla. The show highlights him and Surveen as a wedded couple, living respectively with their daughter. The couple is about to get divorced. Not long after the delivery on the streaming stage, the show turned into the second most-watched show on the stage in India.
The entertainer took to Twitter to share a screen capture of Netflix which shows Decoupled at number two on the rundown of ‘Top 10 in India Today’. He expressed, “With the blessings of the almighty and all the elders and with the love of all the people — #Decoupled becomes the No. 1 Indian series on Netflix in less than 72 hrs.
