Megastar Mammootty’s much anticipated Tamil movie Peranbu, directed by award-winning director Ram, has hit the screens on February 1. The movie has got a good opening at the Kerala box office, even though it is an offbeat Tamil movie. On its opening day, the movie managed to earn 2.78 Lakhs from Kochi multiplexes with an average audience occupancy of around 84% and 5 houseful shows. From Trivandrum multiplexes it has grossed around 4.74 Lakhs with 80% occupancy on the first day. From Chennai centres it has amassed around 7.5 Lakhs from 22 shows.
