In the upcoming comedy-thriller Gold, Lady Superstar Nayanthara and Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen onscreen together. The film’s release date has now been revealed by the producers. On December 2nd of this year, the comedy-thriller project is scheduled to release in theaters. The movie was originally scheduled to release on Onam 2022, however, the release date was delayed for a number of reasons.
After a seven-year hiatus, Alphonse Puthren, the Premam famed filmmaker, returns with Gold. Additionally, it is the first time the group—Prithviraj Sukumaran, Nayanthara, and director Alphonse Puthren—have worked together. In his upcoming film, the Bro Daddy actor will play “Danger” Joshy, and the Lady Superstar will play Sumangali Unnikrishnan. In addition to these two, the project will include a massive star cast, including more than 60 notable actors from Mollywood and Kollywood.
Regarding the film’s technical team, Rajesh Murugesan is in charge of its musical score. Alphonse Puthren oversaw the editing department, and Anend C. Chandran and Viswajith Odukkathil operated the camera for the film.
The film, which is funded by Supriya Menon and Listin Stephen, will be released concurrently in Malayalam and Tamil under the production brands Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames.
There are rumors going around that the production team opted to reshoot some of the scenes in Gold because they were unhappy with them. According to additional reports, the drama’s director and crew reshot some of the aforementioned scenes over the course of two days in Dubai. Prithviraj Sukumaran took part in the Dubai schedule of the movie.
Nayanthara will also be seen starring in Connect, the film directed by Ashwin Saravanan. The most recent information indicates that the horror thriller’s teaser will debut on November 18 of this year.
