Tovino Thomas and Darshana Rajendran are featuring in actor Vineeth Kumar’s executive ‘Dear Friend’. The producers launched the teaser on Wednesday (May 11) night, and it does equity to the title. The teaser highlights Tovino Thomas, Darshana Rajendran, and state award-winning ‘Thanmathra’ fame actor Arjun Lal. Tovino Thomas, as the title proposes, plays the companion, who is cherished by his loved ones.

The film is directed by Vineeth Kumar. ‘Dear Friend’ highlights Tovino Thomas, Darshana Rajendran, Basil Joseph, Pune-based Malayali actor Arjun Radhakrishnan, Arjun Lal, and ‘Sarapatta Parambarai’ fame Sanchana Natarajan in lead roles. A source near the film has recently let us know that the film is a mystery drama.
While wrapping up the shoot of ‘Dear Friend’, Darshana Rajendran talked about her experience working with the group. In her online entertainment post, she stated, “I really appreciate getting to do what I do as an actor, because of which I rarely acknowledge the fact that shoots can be emotionally and physically draining. We often shoot long hours, away from our homes, our people, and craving for as much as the comfort of our own beds. Each new shoot feels like the first day of school all over again. As much as I enjoy it, it always takes some getting used to. And then there are those rare sometimes where an hour into a set has you feeling all right. That is exactly what happened with this project. We just got done shooting for this beautiful film and I couldn’t be more grateful – for the beautiful people, for repeatedly having found a home away from home, and, as always for the joy of getting to do what I love so much.”
‘Dear Friend’ is composed by Sharfu, Suhas, and, Arjun Lal. The edits are done by Deepu Joseph while Shyju Khalid is the director of photography. The music is done by Justin Varghese, and Gokul Das is the art director. The costumes are done by Mashar Hamsa and Ronex Xavier is the makeup artist for the film.
