Theerppu, the filmmaker Rathish Ambat’s follow-up to the highly acclaimed Dileep starrer “Kammara Sambhavam,” was announced as having an August 25 release date by the producers on the final day of production.

Theerppu’s main character, played by Mollywood actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, shared a poster for the movie on his official Instagram account. Sharing the poster, the ‘Kaduva’ actor penned a note that read, “#Theerppu releasing in theatres worldwide on 25th AUGUST! Thematic poster.”

The character look posters for Saiju Kurup and Indrajith Sukumaran, who play Parameshwaran Potty and Kalyan Menon, respectively, in the movie “Theerppu,” were unveiled by the filmmakers on the final day. The poster’s thematic message suggests that the movie will be about a mystery, with several of the characters possessing an underlying suspicion. The major characters are depicted in opposition to historical personalities like Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Hitler, and Joseph Stalin, and the poster also features a snake and ladder game aesthetic. The tagline for the film is “Verdicts and beyond.”

Through playing a game of cricket with the other characters in the movie, the character played by Prithviraj in the recently released second teaser of the movie revealed his childhood memories. Theerppu’s script was written by actor-writer Murali Gopy and will be directed by Rathish Ambat. It must be noted that Murali Gopy wrote two of the actor’s most critically acclaimed films, Ee Adutha Kalathu and Left Right Left. Murali Gopy is also co-producing Theerppu. Major parts will be played by actors Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran, Saiju Kurup, Vijay Babu, Isha Talwar, and Hannah Reji Koshy.
