Every time Indrajith and Prithviraj Sukumaran get together, there is anticipation, and the suspense is only increased when Murali Gopy is also present. Following Tiyaan and Lucifer, the pair will next be seen working together in Rathish Ambat’s Theerpu, the follow-up to his Kammarasambhavam film. The first look from the film is expected to be released soon.

Saiju Kurup, Vijay Babu, Hannah Reji Koshy, Isha Talwar, and Lukman Avaran are also cast members of the movie, which began production in 2020 and wrapped up filming with its lead actors before the second lockout in 2021. On Saturday, Prithviraj announced on his social media pages that the movie’s first trailer will be released on July 24 at 10 am. Along with Vijay Babu, Rathish Ambat and Murali Gopy are the movie’s co-producers.

In an interview with a news channel, Indrajith mentioned that he plays a cop in the movie. “It will deal with a genre that hasn’t been tested in Malayalam and it’s more on the lines of dark humour. The characters and setting too are different from any of Murali’s previous scripts,” said the actor, who had also said that he doesn’t have too many scenes with his younger brother Prithviraj in the movie.

Meanwhile, Rathish had previously told us that the film has a rooted story and is an intriguing drama about friendships. “The format of the movie is also different and it’s more like a story within a story,” he said. Rathish and Indrajith had also worked earlier this year for the segment Kadalkaattu in Netflix’s upcoming anthology based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s short stories.
