Meera Jasmine & Jayaram’s ‘Makal’ gets a clean ‘U’ certificate from the censor board

As Sathyan Anthikad‘s impending directorial film ‘Makal’ is ready to release on April 28 in theaters, the film has cleared the censor board with a clean U certificate. ‘Makal’ will see the comeback of Meera Jasmine to the Malayalam entertainment world in a full-length role after almost 6 years.

Jayaram, who plays the main lead in the film ‘Makal’, took to his official Facebook handle to report that the film passed a U certification from the control board. The new poster highlights the actors Jayaram, Naslen K Gafoor, Meera Jasmine, and Devika Sanjay.

It will be the second time that Jayaram and Meera Jasmine will be sharing screen space together as the two of them were seen together in the movie ‘Onnum Mindathe’ which was released in the year 2014 and was helmed by Sugeeth.

The expectation level for ‘Makal’ is extremely high from the crowds as the recently released teaser guaranteed a vibe decent family performer. The teaser opened with an entertaining discussion between the characters played by Jayaram and Sreenivasan.

During the promotions of the Prabhas starrer ‘Radhe Shyam‘, Jayaram opened up by saying that it was his own girl Malavika Jayaram who unexpectedly turned into an inspiration for Sathyan Anthikad for the title of the film.

The content of the film ‘Makal’ is written by Iqbal Kuttipuram who is most popular for the movies ‘Jomonte Suvisheshangal’, ‘Vikramadithyan’, ‘Diamond Necklace’, ‘Arabikkatha’, and the late released Soubin Shahir starrer film ‘Meow’. ‘Makal’ likewise includes the entertainers Innocent, Sidhique, Althaf Salim, Jayasankar, Dayyana Hameed, Balaji Manohar, Meera Nair, and Sreedhanya in vital roles.
