Losing More Than 20 Crores, Shakunthalam Is A Box Office Hit

Samantha’s heroine Shakunthalam hit the theaters with high expectations. The film was released on April 14 and is not getting a good response from the audience. Samantha and Dev Mohan are playing the lead roles in the film. Directed by Gunasekhar, Samantha plays the role of Shakuntala based on Kalidasa’s Abhijnana Shakuntala. Dev Mohan also came as Dushyantha. Shakunthalam, which reached the theater with great expectations, was a failure on the very first day. The film is a huge failure at the box office.
