Soon, the Rajinikanth-starring 2002 cult classic Baba will have a new theatrical run. To make the movie more appealing to today’s viewers, it has been re-edited and digitally improved. Its tracks have also been remixed to give them a more contemporary feel. Suresh Krissna is directing the supernatural action thriller, which Thalaivar is funding.

Baba apparently performed poorly at the box office when it was first released, but Rajinikanth fans soon took a shine to it. The makers of Baba intend to rerelease the movie on Rajinikanth’s birthday. The movie’s director, Suresh Krissna, reportedly added new sequences and is now finishing up the final edit.

Rajinikanth, Amrish Puri, Manisha Koirala, and Ashish Vidyarthi were among the film’s notable leads. AR Rahman wrote the film’s theme song. The film had mixed to unfavorable reviews and performed poorly at the box office. The actor subsequently took a vacation from performing. He eventually made a comeback with the box-office success Chandramukhi (2005).

Rajinikanth is also presently putting the finishing touches on his upcoming movie, Jailer. Nelson Dilipkumar is directing the film, which is anticipated to be released in April 2023.
