Revathy bagged the National Award under the category of Best English Film for her directorial debut ‘Mitr, My Friend’ which was released in the year 2002.
Bollywood actress Kajol, who has likewise acted in Tamil movies, on Thursday, declared that she is a piece of another movie ‘The Last Hurrah’, which is being directed by veteran actor Revathy. The film is supposed to be roused by a genuine story and genuine characters and rotates around a model mother, Sujata, who struggled the most difficult circumstances one can at any point face happily.
Taking to Instagram, Kajol stated, “So happy to announce my next film with the super awesome Revathi directing me.. called ‘The Last Hurrah’. A heartwarming story that made me instantly say YES! Can I hear a “Yipppeee” please?” (sic)
Entertainer turned director Revathy posted, “It gives me immense pleasure to announce my next directorial, The Last Hurrah, and my very first collaboration with the very talented Kajol. This is a special story and an incredible journey I am looking forward to! #TheLastHurrah” (sic)
Thrilled to meet up with Revathy for this wonderful story, Kajol shared, “When I heard the story of The Last Hurrah, I could instantly connect with Sujata and I thought her journey was incredibly inspiring. I think it’s a beautiful journey and it deserves to be shared with everyone. And to have Revathy direct me for this story gives me more strength to play Sujata and showcase her strengths.”
The film is right now in the pre-production phase and will soon be launched.
