The Income Tax Department has taken the statement of actor Mohanlal. Mohanlal’s statement was recorded by the Income Tax Department as part of the raid conducted two months ago. IT sources informed that clarification was sought from Mohanlal on some financial matters. Details of foreign assets and financial transactions have been sought. Producer Anthony Perumbavoor’s statement was recorded earlier. There were also financial transactions related to Mohanlal. An explanation has also been sought from Mohanlal in this regard.
The Income Tax Department is also examining the documents related to the foreign bank accounts and transactions of some prominent Malayalam stars. The statements of the remaining persons are being recorded after the examination of the documents seized in the raid conducted two months ago has been completed.
