Director AlphonsePutran has a note when Gold, starring Nayanthara and Prithviraj in the lead roles, releases on Thursday. A vehicle without an owner marks the beginning of many things in his life that are destined to happen. A very good thread. An Alphonseputran film after 7 years.

Someone has parked a bolero in Joshi’s backyard. No idea who the owner is. An unexpected incident happens to Joshi, who is filing a complaint with the police. How will Danger Joshi overcome this? Will it be Nidhi Joshi’s fate? Thus the first half ends with 100 questions remaining.

If a Malayalam commercial film doesn’t usually hit theaters in Kerala with subtitles, expect a procession of captions instead in ‘Gold’. It cannot be felt that calling out through captions such as here, like, and who is not an intervention to the naturalness of the film. Things that would have been a little more engaging if they were included in the dialogue itself are stuck in the captions.

the hero is everything in the movie. It is easy to count the scenes without him in two and three-quarters of an hour. Actors such as Jagadish, Baburaj, Suresh Krishna, Shammi Thilakan, Sharafuddin, Soubin Shahir, Siju Whitson, Lalu Alex, Mallika Sukumaran, Shanti Krishna, etc.
