 Filmmaker and singer Pamela Chopra passed away. She was the wife of famous Bollywood director and producer Yash Chopra. He was 74 years old. He died in Mumbai on Thursday. Yash Raj Films officially issued a press release on Thursday morning announcing the death. “Seventy-four-year-old Pamela Chopra passed away this morning. The funeral took place at 11 am. The family thanks for the prayers. The family wants privacy,” YRF said in a note published on social media.

Lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar paid tribute to Pamela Chopra in a tweet and remembered her. “Today Mr. Yash Chopra’s better half Pam G passed away. She was a wonderful woman. She was intelligent, educated, warm, and humorous. Those who have worked closely with Yash Ji are aware of his contributions to screenplays, film music, and more. She was an extraordinary person.” -Javed Akhtar said in a tweet. Pamela Chopra is the person who turned Yash Raj Films into a movement with Yash Chopra. Pamela has contributed to Yash Raj films in the roles of songwriter, singer, co-producer, and script assistant. Pamela Chopra was last seen in The Romantics, a Netflix documentary about the YRF. In it, Pamela talked about her husband Yash Chopra’s film career.
