Fake caste certificate: Mumbai court fines Amravati private constituency actress Navneet Kaur Rs. 2 lakh fine. Leading Telugu actress Navneet Kaur has acted in many films in Tamil including Government, Ambasamudram Ambani. She was last married in 2011 to Maratha State Independent MLA Ravi Rana. In the Amravati constituency, he became an MP with the support of Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party. It was alleged that Navneet Kaur had won by showing a fake caste certificate that Amravati was listed in a separate constituency. Navneet is from Punjab. He belongs to the Labana caste which does not fall under the Maratha SC division. Former Shiv Sena MP Anand Rao has filed a case in the Nagpur branch of the Mumbai High Court alleging that she obtained her caste certificate for the election by showing fake school documents and being a listed woman.

After hearing the arguments of both the parties in the case, the judges canceled the caste certificate of Navneet Kaur and imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh. Also, Navneet Kaur has been ordered to hand over all the certificates to the court within six weeks.
