Dhanush reduced his salary for Thiruchitrambalam

With the release of Thiruchitrambalam, Kollywood actor Dhanush made his big-screen comeback in Tamil films after appearing in the action-packed thriller The Gray Man from the Russo Brothers. On August 18. The Tamil musical family drama debuted in theatres to overwhelmingly good reviews from both reviewers and internet users.

Meanwhile, online rumors have recently started circulating about Dhanush receiving less pay. Tollywood producers declared a strike last month in order to demand a fix for their post-pandemic issues. In an effort to find “workable resolutions,” the Active Telugu Film Producers Guild (ATFPG) put up a number of demands.

The ATFPG reportedly requested that actors lower their wages. A few Tollywood actors had come forward in response to this and agreed to reduce their rates. Now, rumours abound that Kollywood stars have also been subjected to similar requests from Tamil film producers.

Following suit, Dhanush reportedly agreed to lower his fees as well. According to rumors, the Jagame Thandhiram star used to demand between 25 and 30 crores for each movie. The four-time National Film Award-winning actor reportedly made 15 crores for his most recent movie, Thiruchitrambalam.

Thiruchitrambalam also has Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Prakash Raj, Raashi Khanna, and Bharathiraja in pivotal parts, in addition to Dhanush in the title character. The Tamil movie is directed by Mithran R. Jawahar, while Kalanithi Maran is the producer through his company, Sun Pictures. Award-winning musician Anirudh Ravichander wrote the Thiruchitrambalam soundtrack and background music. Additionally, Om Prakash and Prasanna GK, respectively, handled the filming and editing.

The story of this Dhanush film centers on Thiruchitrambalam, a delivery guy who lives simply with his strict policeman father and irreverent grandfather. His life, however, takes an unexpected turn when he finds himself torn between two women.
