Bollywood actress Krishan Perera, who was arrested in Sharjah in a drug smuggling case, has been released from jail. Earlier this month, Perera was arrested at the airport after drugs were found hidden in a trophy the actress was carrying. Krishan Perera is an actress who gained popularity with films like Sadak 2 and Batla House.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested two persons for framing the Bollywood actress in connection with the drug smuggling case. Anthony Paul, a native of Mumbai’s Borivali, and his accomplice Rajesh Babhot alias Ravi, a resident of Sindhudurg district in Maharashtra, were arrested. It was reported that the duo deliberately planted drugs in the actress’s trophy to trap Krishan Perera. Meanwhile, the family members say that the actress was trapped. During the subsequent investigation, the police found that Paul had planned a plan to implicate Chrisan in the case as revenge against the actress’s mother, Pramila Perera.
