Chinmayi Sripaada, a singer who is outspoken about everything, recently slammed trolls on social media for making sexual remarks about Nayanthara. Several Instagram users made derogatory remarks about Nayanthara’s recent appearance at the Connect screening. The singer responded to the remarks on her Instagram account.
Chinmayi Sripaada shared a video in which a media publication posted a video of Nayanthara from the Connect screening and highlighted the sexual comments on it. She also chastised the media outlet for limiting her ability to comment on the post.
The singer took to her Instagram story and wrote, “I AM WONDERING – WERE ALL THESE MEN BREASTFED OR NOT? I WONDER WHAT LL HAPPEN IF THESE MEN HAVE DAUGHTERS. NO WONDER SO MANY MOTHERS WANT THEIR DAUGHTERS TO WEAR A DUPPATTA AROUND THEIR OWN SONS AND HUSBANDS. DO THEY KNOW THAT MEN WILL SEXUALIZE AND CANNOT CONTROL THEIR PHEEELINGS EVEN IF IT IS THEIR OWN DAUGHTER / SISTER?.”
She also stated in her stories that the media outlet deleted a sex educator’s comment but allowed derogatory comments on Nayanthara’s post.
For the uninitiated, a few Netizens made derogatory remarks about Nayanthara during her appearance at a screening of her recently released film Connect. For the screening of her film in Chennai, the lady superstar looked ethereal in a mauve turtleneck top and a floral skirt.
Connect is directed by Ashwin Saravanan and stars Sathyaraj, Anupam Kher, Vinay Rai, and Haniya Nafis, among others. Connect, produced by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s Rowdy Pictures, marks Anupam Kher’s return to Tamil cinema. The film was released on December 22nd and received positive reviews for being a spine-chilling horror entertainer.
