Varun Dhawan wants to enter the South film industry

Varun-Dhawan

Varun Dhawan has been a part of Bollywood for a long time now. Dhawan’s debut in the movie business started with Student Of The Year and occurred more than ten years ago. He has now appeared in more than 17 movies over the years, some of which broke numerous box office records. Varun has stated that he wanted to expand his career and work in South Cinema as well. One may confidently mention that South and Bollywood cinema is on a level with one another given the box office success of recent South films like RRR, KGF-Chapter 2, Pushpa-The Rise, and Ponniyin Selvan I.

Looking at these parameters, Varun Dhawan has shown his interest in being a part of South films. In a recent interview with well-known news, channel Varun said, “If Lokesh Kanagraj offered me a role, that’s the director of Vikram and Kaithi, then 100 percent I would love to do a Tamil film with him. If Rajamouli or Shankar offers you why will you not.”

He said, “I think Indian films are doing really well. When Team India plays, right now they are playing for the World Cup, everyone’s an Indian playing over there, whether he is from South or North of India.” Varun Dhawan also praised the movie Kantara which is currently a roaring success at the box office. “If Kantara is doing really well or KGF 2 or Vikram, we should seek inspiration from these films and try and work with each other. it’s the best thing for Indian films to grow right now,” Varun concluded.

Dhawan will be next seen in Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan’s comedy-horror film Bhediya, which also stars Kriti Sanon. The action movie Bawaal directed by Nitesh Tiwari will thereafter have him opposite Janhvi Kapoor. Dhawan should appear on screen shortly, we hope.
