Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan received the Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative award on Friday while attending the 41st Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2022 at the Expo Centre in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The event’s pictures and videos are currently trending on social media.
Shah Rukh Khan was sharp in a black suit and backcombed hair in one of the videos uploaded by a fan club. According to the actor’s statement at the occasion, the actor, who is presently preparing for the release of Pathaan, earned the award for his “service to the cultural scene and reproductivity in the sphere of literature and creativity.” A part of his speech read, “All of us, no matter where we live, what colour we are, what religion we follow or what songs we dance to… thrive in a culture of love, peace and compassion.”
Shah Rukh also opened his arms while performing on stage to imitate his famous Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge gesture. Itni Shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai, ke har zarre ne mujhe tumse Milane ki saazish ki hai is one of his most famous quotes. He said ,”Kehte hain ki Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho to puri kayanat usey tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.” from his film Om Shanti Om, which just celebrated its 15th anniversary. When SRK arrived at the event he met a sea of his supporters, he was surrounded by fans.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan appeared in three movies this year in cameo parts. He appeared as a journalist in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect in June. He portrayed a younger version of himself in Laal Singh Chaddha by Aamir Khan. In Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, took on the part of a scientist.
Fans will get three opportunities to see Shah Rukh in theatres in 2023. With Pathaan, he is making his eagerly awaited comeback in the lead role. The spy-thriller movie, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, will be released on January 25, 2023. The next film is Jawan, on which SRK had his first working relationship with both director Atlee and actress Nayanthara. In addition to them, Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki with Taapsee Pannu.
