Actors frequently spend the majority of the year on set, away from their families on significant occasions like birthdays, festivals, and much more. This goes on for years because, unlike typical “jobs,” entertainment stars don’t get fixed “leaves” and instead, they take sabbaticals here and there.

Actor Aamir Khan has declared his intention to take a break from acting in order to spend more time with his family. At a Delhi event, the “Laal Singh Chaddha” actor admitted that he has lost out on a lot of things because he has been working nonstop for the past 35 years of his life. Aamir went on to say that when he is working on a project, he is solely focused on it, and everything else appears to fall by the wayside. Admitting that this isn’t fair, the “Dangal” actor said that now he wants to be with family and experience the little moments of everyday life with his mother, siblings, and children.

After his mother Zeenat Hussain had to be taken to the hospital after suffering a heart attack last month, Aamir made the decision to take a break. His most recent films, Thugs of Hindostan (2018) and Laal Singh Chaddha, both bombed at the box office, but the latter gained some traction after being made available on streaming services.

On the work front, Aamir Khan was last seen in the much-hyped Advait Chandan directorial movie Laal Singh Chaddha. An official remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump, the film failed to impress at the box office. He will soon be seen in a guest appearance role in the Kajol-led Salaam Venky.
