Karan Johar has cast Prithviraj Sukumaran in Kayoze Irani’s directorial debut, which also stars Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan. In this yet-untitled dramatic thriller, Kajol plays a vital part opposite Prithviraj. Another update on this project is that it is said to be set against the backdrop of terrorism in Kashmir. Ibrahim will begin filming for the film next month, according to our sources.
While Ibrahim has already begun prepping for his first role, filming will begin in February. He is needed to have a certain appearance in the film and is working hard on his physical change. Meanwhile, readings and workshops are taking place concurrently, says a source close to the situation. We previously stated that the upcoming film’s plot centers around three important characters played by Prithviraj, Kajol, and Ibrahim.
Ibrahim has also worked with Karan Johar on his next romance comedy starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Meanwhile, Kayoze Irani has already begun the reconnaissance mission, posting a few photos from a snowy spot on Instagram on January 16. “What a special crew. Can’t wait,” wrote the actor-turned-director. Zenobia Irani, his mother, had also commented on the post, saying, “My darling Kayo eagerly waiting for the release.”
