Ajay Devgn pens a note on veteran singer Bhupinder Singh’s demise

Renowned performer Bhupinder Singh passed away in Mumbai at the age of 82. The musician apparently passed away as a result of problems from Covid and suspected colon cancer. The songs Dil Dhoondta Hai, Naam Gum Jaayega, Ek Akela Is Shaher Mein, Beeti Na Beetai Raina, Huzoor Is Kadar Bhi Na Itra Ke Chaliye, Kisi Nazar Ko Tera Intezar Aaj Bhi Hai, and Baadalon Se Kaat Kaat Ke among others are among Singh’s most well-known. After his death, the nation is in disbelief. Ajay Devgn, a Bollywood star, posted on social media to convey his sorrow.

Ajay, who has a huge social media fan base, posted an emotional message via Instagram’s stories feature. He posted a picture of Bhupinder Singh in black and white and stated, “Deeply saddened about the demise of Bhupinder Ji. His voice brought joy to millions and had a uniqueness. Condolences to his family. RIP Bhupinder Ji, Om Shanti”.

Bhupinder Singh performed along with notable performers during the course of his five-decade career, including Mohammed Rafi, RD Burman, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, and Bappi Lahiri. He also lent his voice to number of popular songs.

The news channel was informed by the late singer’s widow Mitali Mukherjee that his funeral will take place on Tuesday (July 19). The musician was hospitalized at the Criticare Asia hospital, where Dr. Deepak Namjoshi, director, also spoke with the news portal and revealed that they had to place him on a ventilator as his health deteriorated on Monday morning (July 18). The doctor added that he suffered a heart collapse and died.
