Seems like the team of Samrat Prithviraj has betrayed its lead actor Akshay Kumar after the big-budget historical war film’s poor box office run. After its director Chandraprakash Dwivedi recently said that he doesn’t agree with the actor’s comments on history textbooks giving more value to ‘foreign invaders’ than the country’s own kings, Aditya Chopra, the film’s producer, has now apparently come out against the actor for lack of dedication for the movie.

The film, which was supposedly made on a huge spending plan of Rs 300 crore, did not even cross Rs 100 crore at the box Office and is the second back to back flop from the creation house after Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar.

The maker evidently is faulting Akshay for the film’s box office numbers. A source from Yash Raj Films let a news channel know that Aditya wasn’t satisfied with the actor’s responsibility towards the film. Samrat Prithviraj expected him to devote time to the film yet Akshay “wouldn’t actually grow a true mustache” as he was likewise doing different movies all the while. The source asked that knowing it was a big film, why didn’t Akshay just focus on Samrat Prithviraj alone.

In the mean time, the movie’s director Dwivedi took ownership of the disappointment, saying that they neglected to figure out the state of mind of the film and that brought about the film’s substance not associating with the crowd. Recently, the filmmaker also weighed in on Akshay statement about textbooks not prioritizing Indian kings.

The director expressed that after the actors comments, the crowd believed that the film is a verifiable film. In any case, he said that Samrat Prithviraj depends on the sonnet Prithviraj Raso and its historial esteem has been for some time discussed.

The film, which likewise has Manushi Chillar, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood, is at present booked to release on Amazon Prime Video on July 1.
