Malayalam film Ayisha was recognized at the 4th Cinemana International Film Festival, Oman. In the competition category, the award went to M Jayachandran for the background score of the film which was changed at the festival. The jury noted that Ayisha’s background score was an extraordinary fusion of Arab Indian music. This award also has the distinction of being recognized in an Arab festival for a film prepared in an Indo-Arabic setting.

At the closing ceremony of the fair held at Musandham Island, Musandham Governorate Provincial Governor Syed Ibrahim Bin Said Al Busaidi presented the award. Directed by Aamir Pallikal, the film is based on Ayisha’s Saudi life in Nilambur, with Manju Warrier as the central character.
