The dispute related to the screening of the Hollywood Movie “Avatar 2” has been resolved. The film will be released in Kerala on December 16, which will release worldwide. The dispute was between theater owners and distributors.

The issue was resolved by agreeing to share the revenue of the first two weeks of the film’s release in the form of 45 percent to the theater owners and 55 percent to the distributors. After the first two weeks, theater owners and distributors will share the revenue equally.

Earlier, the theater owners’ association Fiok had announced that the film would not be screened in theaters in the state, alleging that the distributors were asking for more money. An agreement on revenue sharing was reached in the settlement talks held following Fiok’s protest.
