A producer has alleged that the plot of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, directed by Atlee, is extremely similar to that of Vijayakanth’s 2006 film, Perarasu. This suggests that Jawan may be in danger of plagiarism. Producer Manickan Narayanan has complained to the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) claiming that the plots of Jawan and Perarasu are identical. There are still unanswered questions regarding the complaint. The board will look at the complaint.

Atlee makes her Bollywood debut in Jawan, along with actress Nayanthara and composer Anirudh Ravichander. Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priya Mani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and Yogi Babu are also featured in the movie. In the movie, Shah Rukh Khan will play two characters, one of them is supposed to be an Army officer. The movie will also be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. GK Vishnu handled the cinematography, and Ruben handled the editing. The crew also shot several scenes in Chennai. Red Chillies Entertainment’s Jawan is scheduled for release in the summer of 2023.

Captain Vijayakanth played two characters in the 2006 film Perarasu, one of whom was a CBI officer and the other a vigilante. Ilavarasu Pandiyan and Perarasu Pandian, two long-separated brothers, are the main characters of the tale. While the former eliminates dishonest police personnel, suspicion is placed on his doppelganger, Ilavarasu aka Kasi Viswanathan. Udhayan was the director of Perarasu.

Atlee has had problems before, so this is nothing new. During the release of Thalapathy Vijay’s Bigil, the filmmaker was involved in a plagiarism controversy as well. Following the Chennai court’s dismissal of the petition, the movie easily made it to theatres.
