Director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval’s debut film golem Kunjappan Ver.5.25 are obtaining many different versions too as well as Tamil and Telugu. the newest report is that the moving-picture show is headed for a Tamil remake with veteran film maker K S Ravikumar, WHO had earlier helmed Rajinikanth’s Padayappa and Lingaa and Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam and Thenali, connected to the Kollywood film.
Android Kunjappan revolves around a denizen named Bhaskara Poduval (Suraj Venjaramoodu) and also the unlikely bond he forms with a automaton that his son brings to require care of him whereas the latter relocates to Russia for his job. Meanwhile, the Telugu remake rights of Android Kunjappan were also sold a few months ago and the movie will have Mohan Babu playing the role essayed by Suraj in the original.
In the past one year, several South remake rights of Malayalam films have been sold. These include Prithviraj and Biju Menon’s Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Anna Ben’s Helen, Prithviraj’s Driving Licence, Shane Nigam’s Ishq, Mohanlal’s Lucifer, Manju Warrier’s Prathi Poovankozhi and Kunchacko Boban’s Anjaam Pathira. Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Helen, Prathi Poovankozhi and Anjaam Pathira will also be getting Bollywood versions with the projects set to go on floors next year.
