Akhil and Chay reacts to Nandamuri Balakrishna’s comment

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s comments at Veera Simha Reddy’s success bash have made the news. The actor sparked outrage after making disparaging remarks about renowned performers Akkineni Nageswara Rao and SV Ranga Rao. Now, ANR’s grandsons, actors Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni have reacted and returned it to Balakrishna with a statement.

Speaking at the ceremony, Balakrishna made an unexpected remark about renowned actors Akkineni Nageswara Rao and SV Ranga Rao, saying, “My father Sr NTR had some contemporaries, aa Ranga Rao (referring to SV Ranga Rao), Akkineni, Thokkineni, and some others” while referring to Sr NTR’s contemporaries.

Naga Chaitanya turned to social media to condemn Balakrishna’s disparaging comments regarding Akkineni Nageswara Rao and SV Ranga Rao. The Manam actor stated that criticizing the great actor is a form of self-deprecation. According to the statement, “Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Garu, Akkineni Nageswara Rao Garu and S.V Ranga Rao garu’s creative contributions have been the pride and pillars of Telugu Cinema. Disrespecting them is degrading ourselves.” Akhil Akkineni gave an identical statement. Nagarjuna has yet to respond to the uproar.

Balakrishna’s oratory drew harsh criticism. His disgusting comment on the Akkineni family has also riled up the internet. Many fans are also taunting him and posting online memes criticizing him. In the meantime, he has yet to reply to the controversy. It will be interesting to see if the Nandamuri actor apologizes for his offensive comments.

Shruti Haasan portrays the female lead in the drama directed by Gopichand Malineni, and Kannada star Duniya Vijay plays the antagonist. The cast also includes Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Honey Rose, Lal, Chandrika Ravi, and P. Ravi Shankar. S Thaman composed music for the film, which was produced under the legendary umbrella of Mythri Movie Makers.
