Valimai was initially ready for release in Tamil and Telugu languages as it were. In any case, the producers chose to dub it and released it in Hindi also. The film is additionally being dubbed in Malayalam and Kannada. The Tamil trailer of Valimai was released and had been especially liked for its action sequences and Ajith‘s screen persona. It shows the excursion from being a cop to turning into a convict.

The film will have a stupendous pan Indian delivery on February 24. The producers are yet to report this formally. Valimai which was booked for Pongal release on January 13, got postponed because of Omicron Virus and theaters shut down all around the country.
Bankrolled by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor under Bayview Projects LLP, Valimai will be the second cooperation between Ajith, director H Vinoth and Boney Kapoor. The threesome has prior held hands for the 2019 flick Nerkonda Paarvai. Yuvan Shankar Raja has created the music for the film.
Ajith will play a cop and Kartikeya Gummakonda will be viewed as the main bad guy in Valimai.
