Not only in the Ponniyin Selvan trailer but also at the trailer launch event on Tuesday, Aishwarya Rai proved to be a scene stealer. The stunning diva, who portrays Queen Nandini in the monumental work, was seen capturing hearts with her kind gestures toward Rajinikanth and the film’s director, Mani Ratnam.

In a video, Rajinikanth and his wife Lata can be seen walking to the trailer debut. They were spotted congratulating the movie’s leading actors, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, Chiyaan Vikram, and Karthi. Aishwarya Rai quickly touched Rajinikanth’s feet and asked for his blessing when they met. They then gave each other a cozy hug. The priceless moment is currently going viral.

As if that weren’t heartwarming enough, a different video also featured Aishwarya being childlike in her delight over meeting Mani Ratnam at the ceremony. Before the trailer debuted, the actress hurried up to the Roja director and was seen giving him a heartfelt hug and talking with him briefly.

Aishwarya has previously collaborated with Mani Ratnam and Rajinikanth. Aishwarya and Rajinikanth appeared in movies like Enthiran and 2.0, but she collaborated with Ratnam on movies like Guru, Raavan, and Iruvar. Ponniyin Selvan 1 is the result of their fourth partnership.

Ponniyin Selvan 1 surrounds the epic fantasy drama, which is set in the 10th century and depicts the conflicts between the army, foes, and traitors as well as the ongoing crises and threats to the throne of the Chola Emperor. Aishwarya has two roles in the movie. Fans were able to see her in action as Queen Nandini in the trailer. Ponniyin Selvan 1 is generating a lot of hype around the nation and will be released in five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. It will debut in theatres in two parts, the first of which will be released on September 30 in five different languages.
