The creators of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan today uncovered another character banner of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to present her role from the film. The actress will be playing the role of queen Nandini, who is on a mission of retaliation. She looks delightful in a saree, long hair and entrancing eyes.
Taking to Twitter, the producers shared the new banner of Aishwarya as Nandini and stated, “Vengeance has a beautiful face! Meet Nandini, the Queen of Pazhuvoor! #PS1 releasing in theatres on 30th September in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.”

The masterpiece Ponniyin Selvan, the initial segment, PS-1 with a heavenly cast of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prabhu, Parthiban, and Prakash Raj is scheduled for an overall release on September 30.
Ponninyin Selvan is overall mutually bankrolled by Mani Ratnam and Lyca Productions while Siva Ananth is the film’s Executive Producer. A.R. Rahman will make the music and Ravi Varman has been roped in for cinematography. The much-anticipated movie is co-composed by the director alongside Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan.
The film highlights Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Nandini, Vikram as Aditya Karikalan, Jayam Ravi as Arulmozhi Varman, Karthi as Vandhiyathevan, and Trisha as Kundavai. As the Ponniyin Selvan is approaching release, Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions have guaranteed more updates and news on the film in the coming week. The makers have already released new posters of Chiyaan Vikram and Karthi from the film.
