Reports also say that Aishwarya Rai and Vikram are reuniting after the second part of Ponniyin Selvan directed by Manirathnam. Directed by Mani Ratnam, this film is a love story. Aishwarya and Vikram acted together for the first time in the 2010 film Raavan and its Hindi version Raavan. In the film based on the Ramayana, Vikram played the character of a Naxalite named Veeraiya while Aishwarya played the role of Ragini Subramaniam. Abhishek Bachchan played the role of Vikram in the Hindi version of the film. Ragini’s husband, Dev Pratap Kumar, is played by Vikram. Aishwarya played the role of Nandini in Ponniyin Selvan, which was based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel. Vikram plays the role of Chola Prince Aditya Karikalan.
