Actress Parineeti Chopra got into trouble after sharing a random selfie of herself showing off her brand-new hairstyle for an upcoming movie. Yes, as you read, Parineeti posted a new photo on Instagram wearing an orange outfit and matching shoes. However, instead of receiving praise, she received severe teasing after internet users linked her attire to Deepika Padukone’s ongoing Besharam Rang controversy.

Internet users quickly made the comparison between Parineeti’s attire and Deepika Padukone’s ongoing Besharam Rang controversy as soon as she posted this picture. Yes, Deepika’s use of a “bhagwa” colored bikini in the song has been the subject of continuous debate, and Parineeti’s costume has been linked to it. Politicians and several social groups made fun of the actress for supposedly offending Hindi sensitivities with her attire.

Trolling the actress one user wrote in Hindi, “Andhbhakt aate honge”.”Wo ab agle saal diwali par aayega”, wrote another.  Another user wrote, “Bhagwa rang ka apmaan nhi sahega Hindustan Boycott kro.” One more user wrote, “Boycott parineeti chopra her shoe less is bhagwa colour”.

On the work front, Parineeti Chopra is doing a film with Diljit Dosanjh. This is for the first time that both actors are working together. The movie is called Chamkila and was directed by Imtiaz Ali. Two Punjabi musicians named Amarjot Singh and Amar Singh Chamkila play key roles in the film. On March 8, 1988, Amar Singh Chamkila, his wife Amarjot Kaur, and members of their band were all murdered.
