The upcoming Marvel movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is supposed to be a box office smash in the Indian film industry. The presales of the movie are pacing like their other blockbuster Spider-man: No Way Home. Scheduled to release on May sixth, the sorcerer supreme and Stephen Strange have pre-sold over 5.50 lakh tickets worth Rs. 19 crores approx (Rs. 15.50 crores Nett) for its initial weekend starting around 10 a.m., four days before its release. Almost half of the sales are for the opening day with a very strong spread out in the premium formats for Saturday and Sunday.

The film’s deals count is like that of No Way Home three days before its release in December. However Spider-man numbers are for 24 hours, opening tickets available to be purchased a lot nearer to the release while Strange is on special for close to 30 days. Ordinarily, films don’t go discounted in that frame of mind than four or five days before release, Disney set a new precedent by putting Dr. Strange tickets on sale last month.

Similar to the standard for Hollywood tentpoles, IMAX and 4DX are driving the deals, with over Rs. 5 crores in deals for the huge screen design and almost Rs. 2 crores for the moving seats. 3D remains famous with the Indian crowd, making up very nearly 60% of all out tickets sold. PVR drives the deals among every one of the chains making up 33% of the absolute ticket deals, while in cash’s worth as high 40% with Rs. 8.20 crores. Geologically, South India makes up 40% of absolute deals while the greatest circuit remains Mumbai followed by Delhi/UP and Mysore.

Dr. Strange is as of now projected to open over Rs. 30 crores (Rs. 25 crores Nett) on Friday and an end of the week north of Rs. 90 crores (Rs. 75 crores Nett).
