One of the most anticipated Indian movies is Brahmastra. When filmmaker Ayan Mukerji was filming Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani in the snow mountains in 2012, the concept for Brahmastra first came to him. Ayan has been working on the project for about ten years, and that only includes the first book of the trilogy. It is not just the most ambitious film ever filmed in India, but it also cost the most to produce. Around 8000 screens will screen the movie worldwide during its wide release. As the movie prepares for a release in less than three days, advance bookings are in full swing and tickets are selling like hotcakes.

The Hindi picture with the best start of the year, directed by Ayan Mukerji, has caused a stir at the Indian box office. All centers, including the tier 2 and tier 3 cities, have had good ticket movement. It’s important to keep in mind that, based on the trend, reservations for the IMAX version of the movie are aiming at records. Three days before the film’s premiere, 16200 tickets have already been sold for the opening day’s 90 or so IMAX 3D performances. The occupancy rate is 59 percent, and the gross revenue is Rs. 91 lakh.

On the day of release, the movie will have an IMAX 3D version occupancy rate of above 90%, grossing up to Rs. 1.35 crore from only 90 showings. If the movie is well-received, it will maintain a 90 percent occupancy rate throughout the weekend. The IMAX version is anticipated to easily surpass the Rs. 1.10 cr. mark and set a new record for the greatest single day of ticket sales for a Bollywood film on IMAX screens, beating out films like Thugs of Hindostan and Padmaavat.

From the perspective of Bollywood, Brahmastra is a crucial movie, and its success despite all the criticism will show that a movie can survive in a hostile climate. Part 1 of the Brahmastra Though there will be Thursday night screenings before Shiva’s worldwide premiere on September 9 in several locations outside of India. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mouni Roy, and Shah Rukh Khan make appearances in this ambitious film directed by Ayan Mukerji.
